"I guess I'm just used to New York remodeling," Ellen admits, chuckling quietly. Back home, no one would bat an eye if you changed everything about the apartment you were living in from what the previous owners had enjoyed aesthetically. It wasn't even very commonplace for someone to remodel their own living place, from knocking out a wall to completely changing out every single piece of art on the walls. "But there doesn't seem to be very many ways of doing that here, not decoratively speaking, anyway." She glances back over her shoulder at him while he shares.

"I've lived in New York almost my whole life," she replies, her arms loosely crossed over her chest as she moves toward him. "I guess I've just never known what it's like to be anywhere else - especially not somewhere as radically different as this."
